20210321_150406God of life,
we pray to You in spirit and truth
that You will hold fast to us when we let You down.
Build in us a sense of being part of one community
in all times and all generations.

Guide us, help us to listen, and to make good choices;
Give us the courage not to sit on the fence out of fear.
May we stand with You for justice, peace and hope
for all people in any corner of the world.

God of life,
You know us and You love us.
Be with us now and with those who pray with us.
Assure us of Your presence and Your steadfast love.
Hear the words we can barely speak.
Bring hope and healing to the raw edges of our lives,
to those who are broken-hearted and hurting,
and to the torn and ragged parts of our world.
Strengthen our spirits, soften our hearts, and keep us on Your way.                  (Kate McIlhagga)

We pray for those afflicted by disease and those who care for them,
especially when illness is constant and care demanding or exhausting.
Bring strength, love, and spiritual healing.

We pray for the fearful, the anxious, and the bitter;
we pray for those who’ve given up, for the cynical, for the apathetic;
we pray for the negative thinkers and the drag-downers.
Bring hope to all who need it and faith to those who seek it.

For all those on our minds at this time, we pray, especially this week for:
Ruth, Stuart, Margaret, Malcolm,
Robert H, Evelyn, John C, Eleanor,
John N, Ela, James, Emily,
Anthony, Jill, Cath, Henryk
Amy, Andrew, Jo, Peter,
Ron, Bill B, Mary, and Jean…

To them, and to all we pray for,
bring healing and the deep peace only You can give,
through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
